Dear Boso Family,

Ryan and I send our thoughts and condolences during this difficult time.

Zella was a wonderful mother and woman always willing to lend a helping hand. Although I only saw her a few times she was never too shy about making sure I was not hungry. There was always an extra bowl of potato soup and Zella knew how to make you feel like you were at home.

Take Care,

Dear Marilyn, Rita and Sally,

Aunt Zella was “one of a kind” made exclusively by the hands of God – she was just so special in many, many ways. She made her home her “palace”, a place where everyone was welcome. Her kitchen always had wonderful cooking or baking aromas to it. When we would come down the steps to her down-stairs, she would always greet us with a big smile and say “Sweetie, I am so glad you came to see me”!

Please know we regret we could not come up for her funeral but we will forever keep her memory in our hearts. God could not have made a more loving mother, grandmother, aunt, or friend than Aunt Zella was. I personally feel blessed that our family’s lives were touched by her life! Her chidren are truly blessed having her for a Mother. You all have a wonderful blueprint to follow in being the same kind of Mother to your children as she was to all of you. God bless.

Love and Prayers to all,

Gene and Sharon Emig

Dear Marilyn, Rita and Sally,

So sorry to hear about Aunt Zella’s death today. Danny called me from Jacksonville to tell me about it and to say that Clifford had called him. It’s awful how people let the ones they loved slip away through the years. I’m e-mailing because I no longer have an address for any of you…I hope this is alright. She was an amazing woman and I dearly loved the time I spent with all of you. Your families are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless all of you in this time of sorrow.

I can recall it as well as if yesterday; 1955 standing in the back of the moving van looking out at Aunt Zella and Uncle Charles, Charles Joe, Marilyn K. and Rita not sure if Sally was born yet the memory of that day will never go away and neither will my memories of her.

7-8 years ago or so, my brother Jerry and I stopped in to see Uncle Dave and afterwards Aunt Zella, I am so glad that we were able to. Although she was starting to have problems she knew us and recalled each and everyone of my family and asked how all were doing and especially her brother-in-law, my father Ben.

May you be looking at him now Aunt Zella, I will always remember you.

Love, Charles Joe

I know Zeak through my uncle and aunt, Clifford and Norma. I will always remember her smile and laugh. Even though she technically wasn’t my aunt, when I was a kid she would send me cards signed “Aunt Zeakie.” I was always so excited to get them. She was a wonderful lady and she will be missed by many.

I was sorry to hear Aunt Zella had passed away. Greg, Alex and I are unable to attend the funeral, but I wanted to send my thoughts and prays to Marilyn, Rita and Sally. Aunt Zella was always kind and I remember as a child she always greeted me with open arms and somehow always had cookies ready from the oven. She will be missed. Love, Becky

My Aunt Zeak is one of the most special people to me. I have never met someone so caring and kind. She and I held a very close and unique bond. I will keep my memories of her with me forever…and try each day to be a little more like her. We wrote countless letters and spent as much time together as possible. She always had a smile on her face no matter what. No one will ever know what she meant to me.

Zella will always be remembered for her loving and caring ways and she could make bread like no one I know. When we were there for a visit she always made bread as she knew Al and the kids loved her rolls. She was a wonderful Mom and very special lady and we were all so fortunate to have had her in our lives. We never lived near enough to enjoy her company as much as we’d have liked but she always made us feel so special when we visited with her and Charles and the girls. Love, Uncle Al & Aunt Jeannie
