Zane Tittle, 81, of Maynard, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
He was born March 22, 1926 at Benwood, WV, a son of the late John Henry and Grace Mackey Tittle.
Zane was a retired welder for the Conrail Company and a WWII Army Air-Corp veteran.
He attended Maynard United Methodist Church, was a member of F.O.E. #344 of Wheeling and VFW Post #4811 of Yorkville.
Surviving are two daughters, Penny L. Tittle, Bethany, WV and Nancy Jonathan, Sr.Pietrangelo, New Alexandria, Ohio, his wife, Olive Hockenberry Tittle, New Alexandria, Ohio, two grandchildren, Jonathan, Jr. and Ashley Pietrangelo and his beloved companion, Delores Shinkarow, Maynard, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, Friday, February 8, 2008, at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950, where funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008, at 11 AM, with the Reverened Jim Hildebrand officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Maynard Volunteer Fire Department, 50266 Fairpoint-Maynard Rd., Maynard, Ohio 43937 or Maynard United Methodist Church, 71480 Maynard Road, Maynard, Ohio 43937.
