I am so saddened to read of the tragic loss of Yvonne. Your grandmother, Shirley Bellew, used to come to the office where I worked back in 1978, and I was expecting my second baby about the same time Yvonne was due/born. Like grandmas do, Shirley bragged about her and updated us about her and all of her granddaughters whenever she was in. I hope that your precious memories of Yvonne, as well as knowing she will be reunited with your parents and grandparents, will bring you comfort in the difficult days ahead.

I knew Ms. Yvonne from the counseling center in Shreveport. She was so sweet and always had a smile on her face. So funny and caring! Every time i was there, we were laughing about something. She would always call me G11 because my last name is 1 letters long and it started with a G. Im going to miss hearing her call me that. My deepest condolences to her, her daughter and family! Yall in my thoughts and prayers!

I met Yvonne at tech school, at Sheppard AFB, TX and then was stationed with her in Utah for 4 years. She was such a strong woman–always spoke her mind and was always making people laugh too. We emailed every so often and I was always happy to hear from her–she always brought back good memories and made me smile–and most of all she always spoke of Josie and how proud she was of her and how she loved her. She will truly be missed. Much Love, Rachel

My deepest sympathy to all of Yvonne’s family. Yvonne was so full of life. She did the things people are always telling us to do. She did dance and laugh like no one was watching. She spoke her mind. And at the same time she was caring and understanding. Josie, I only met you once, when you were a baby, but I have heard so much about you. Your mother loved you more than you can imagine and she is looking down on you from heaven.
