Gilbert, G. Wilma, 87, of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2008 in Shadyside Care Center, Shadyside, OH.
She was born February 1, 1921 in Proctor, WV, a daughter of the late Clark C. and Mona A. Newman Parsons. Mrs. Gilbert was a retired employee of U. S. Stamping and a Christian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. Gilbert; three brothers, Carl, Kenneth and Cyrus Parsons; a sister, Helen McKimmie; a son-in-law, Tim McClintock.
Surviving are four children, Terry Gilbert, Jerry Lana Gilbert , Vickie McClintock, and Judy Frankie White, all of Moundsville; six grandchildren, Frankie TracyWhite of Triadelphia, Shelley Reece Berardi of Glen Easton, Carl Brenda Gilbert of Moundsville, Casey Nicole VanDamm of Eden Prairie, Minn., Joshua Gilbert-McClintock of Moundsville, and Levi Ewing of Florida; six great-grandchildren, Allison and Courtney White, Erica and Shelby Berardi, and Madison and Samantha VanDamm; several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 16, 2008 with Rev. Bill Kittle officiating.
Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV.
