Chesapeake- Wilma Ferebee Davis, went to be with the Lord April 17, 2015 at Chesapeake General Hospital surrounded by her loving niece and nephews. Ms. Davis was born in South Norfolk, March 3, 1921 to the late William Yancey Everton Davis and Mabel Ferebee Davis. She was a lifelong member of Rosemont Christian Church, the South Norfolk Garden Club and the South Norfolk Women’s Club. One of Ms. Davis’ greatest accomplishments was that she the first woman draftsman for the United States Navy, and her greatest joy was to play the piano.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister-in-law, Marjorie Kerr Davis; her nephew, Elwood Everton Davis, Jr. and his wife, Janet Metz Davis, her niece, Melanie Davis Poole and her husband J. C. Poole and her nephew, Paul Ashley Davis; three great nephews and one great niece; two great great nephews and three great great nieces, as well as many other family and friends. Ms. Davis is predeceased by her parents, as well as her brother, Elwood Everton Davis, Sr.
A graveside service will be held at Rosewood Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 11 am, with Pastor Jerry Kilyk of Rosemont Christian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions sent to Rosemont Christian Church.

I have such fond memories of many Christmas Eves with Wilma and the rest of the Davis family. My mother Ellen Craver and I are thinking of your family in the loss of your dear aunt.
