William Thomas Powell, Sr.

William Thomas Powell, Sr. of Edenton, NC died July 4, 2001 in Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. Powell was a retired truck driver for Bill Sweat Tree Service and was the widower of Shirley Jean Powell.

He is survived by five sons, William Thomas Powell, Jr., Robert Z. Powell, Bernice A. Powell, Bryant G. Powell and Bradley K. Powell.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2001 at 2pm at the Smythe Family Cemetery in Gates County, North Carolina.

Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
