Bryan, William J. Jack, 78, of Wheeling, died Saturday, January 5, 2002 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. Jack was born July 11, 1923 in Wheeling, a son of the late William A. and Mary Nassif Bryan. He was a retired inspector for the West Virginia Department of Highways, owner and operator of the New Paramount in Wheeling and was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Wheeling. In addition to his parents, he ws preceded in death by a son, Frank Burch in 1987; four sisters, Josephine Kupchak, Genevieve Bryan, Stella Storch and Virginia Crowder; and five brothers, George Key Bryan, Phillip Ike Bryan, Joe Bryan, Albert Bryan and John Bryan. Surviving are his wife Dolores Dee McNickle Bryan; a son, Joseph Bryan of Wheeling; two daughters, Stella Bryan and Kathleen Bryan, both of Wheeling; four grandchildren, David Wilson of Flushing, OH, Brian Vossen II, Sherele Vossen, and Chie’ Bryan, all of Wheeling; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m on Monday January 7, 2002 and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday January 8, 2002 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 9, 2002 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Bakhos Chidiac as celebrant. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Department of Neurology, Wheeling, WV 26003.
