William J. Cataldo Sr.
Age: 68

William J. “Fuzzy” Cataldo Sr., 68 of Glasgow Road in Wellsville, died at his residence on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 following a brief illness. He was born in Wellsville, on August 23, 1939, a son of the late Daniel & Kathrine Natale Cataldo.

Mr. Cataldo lived his entire life in this area, employed as a mill worker at the former Crucible Steel. He was a member of the Eagles Nest 772 and the Fraternal Order of Police Association. He was a 1957 graduate of Wellsville High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

His wife, Patricia Woodward Cataldo, whom he married in January 1961 survives him at home.

Additional survivors include three sons, William J. Cataldo Jr. of Wellsville, Anthony Cataldo of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, and Bruce A. Cataldo of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Tina Marie Cataldo of Charlotte, North Carolina; three brothers, Dan Cataldo of Wellsville, OH, Sam and John Cataldo of St. Petersburg, Florida; three sisters, Rose Ulisio of Midland, Pennsylvania, Fran Hipsley of Wellsville, Ohio and Mary Ciarniello of Poland, Ohio; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Besides his parents, five brothers, Patsy, Emil, Joe, Albert and Tony Cataldo and one sister, Josephine Volino preceded him in death.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Father Robert Edwards of St. George Catholic Church in Lisbon officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Wellsville Chapel, Friday, June 20, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
