William F. Moodispaw 83 of Neffs, Ohio died Friday March 21, 2008 at the Trinity East Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born November 22, 1924 in Tridelphia, West Virginia a son of the late Marion Franklin Campbell and Clora Belle Piatt Moodispaw. Bill was a retired insurance agent and staff manager for the Equitable Life Insurance, a member of the Neffs United Methodist Church, Neffs Rod and Gun Club, VFW Post 5356 and American Legion Post 159 both of St. Clairsville, Ohio and the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of American. He was bestowed with the distinguished Silver Beaver Award by the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of American. Bill was a avid hunter and also was a US Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Moodispaw, two brothers, Harry Shawver and Charles Moodispaw and one sister, Nola Kocsis. Surviving are his wife, Irene V. Zaleski Moodispaw, four children, William R. Kathy Moodispaw of Weston, WV, Paul F. Peggy Moodispaw of Wooster, Ohio, Scott Cathi Moodispaw of Shadyside, Ohio and Barbara Houston of St. Clairsville, Ohio, two sisters, Ruth Poore of Dayton, Ohio and Laura Chini of Cleveland, Ohio. Also eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am with Rev. David m. Demarest ooficiating. interment in the Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Full Military Honors will be conducted on Tuesday at 10:45 am at the funeral home by the Belmont County Council of the American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made to the Neffs United Methodist Church P.O. Box 290 Neffs, ohio 43940 or the Neffs Volunteer Fire Department P.O. Box 227 Neffs, Ohio 43940.
