Betsy,

It was my privilege to play for Bill’s funeral today. Having moved to FL, I lost touch with many people at First Baptist for awhile. It was wonderful to see so many dear saints gathered to honor a precious man of integrity and spiritual stature. I was blessed beyond measure. It was a beautiful service for Bill and for your family.

Bill, you may have forgotten me, yet I have not forgotten you. You gave me my first job out of the U.S. Navy years ago and I was as proud to serve you as I was our country. Many times I still think of you and how working with you prepared me for other jobs I would have in the Tidewater area in later years. Thank you, and goodbye…….Godspeed.

Many years ago, Bill, Rick & I attended a “Romans” course taught by Frank Howlett. When I heard Bill went home, first thing I thought was: “Now he can ask Paul any questions about “Romans”! Betsy, just one more attraction in Heaven. We’re praying for you — Judy & Rick
