Riggs, Wilda L., 87, of Moundsville, WV, died Friday, July 18, 2008 in Trinity Medical Center East, Hospice Special Care Unit, Steubenville, OH.
She was born May 5, 1921 in Moundsville, a daughter of the late Walter and Susie Daugherty Wilson.
Mrs. Riggs was a retired employee of Marshall County Schools; a member of Limestone Presbyterian Church, the Marshall County Homemakers, and the Women’s Bible Class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Riggs; three brothers, Joseph, Dale, and Dean Wilson; a sister, Betty Kittle Wilson; a nephew, James Kittle.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Riggs Kelly of Moundsville; two granddaughters, Tammy and Nicole; four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Courtney, Whitney and Chase Ryan; several nieces and nephews; a special friend and neighbor, Suggie Ross of Moundsville; and special friends, Judy Logdson and Martha Razzano of Moundsville.
Friends will be received from 10:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville.
Interment in Limestone Cemetery, Moundsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 132 Peters Run Rd., Wheeling, WV 26003.

DEAR LINDA,

I WAS SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR MOTHER’S PASSING. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL I LOST MY MOTHER JULY 2ND, I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE SHE HAS BEEN GONE 3 WEEKS TODAY. JUST KNOW THAT SHE REALLY IS IN A BETTER PLACE AND I PRAY FOR GOD TO HELP US BOTH WITH OUR GRIEF.
