I am so sorry to hear about your father’s death. I just happened to stumble onto his obituary while searching the web for some genealogical information.

Although I did not visit your parents often, they were very important to my growing-up years.

I often look back on the 1940s and 1950s when they so strongly impacted my life with their love, concern and example. I remember them as gentle, loving and caring people. They were always giving to others.

I will write more by regular e-mail.

In memory of one of my favorite uncles, Wendell C. Russell, a gently soul who never hurt a flea! His heart was made of gold and his voice was soothing and calm. He took his responsibilities seriously and never failed. He quietly and unobtrusively walked the Christian life, a remarkable model for us all. He will be greatly missed.
