It was with great sadness that we learned of Wayne’s passing. Wayne’s memory has a special place in the heart’s of those who were privileged to know him. I always asked Pat & Mike how he was doing, and missed not having him at NSPI meetings after he moved to NC. I knew he was enjoying his well-deserved retirement at last though.

He always put his all into whatever he undertook. He was instrumental in bringing both the NSPI Tidewater Chapter & Region II to where they are today.

There is also something to be said about the spirit of a man who loves animals as Wayne did. I remember visiting Portsmouth Pool Center and seeing the cats that called it home. Wayne always provided for them, and for the special animals he shared his home with.

I send my deepest sympathy to you, Shirley, to Pat & Mike, and to the other family members who feel this deep loss.
