WEST, Wanita V. 90, of Moundsville, W. Va., died Friday, December 6, 2013 at Mound View Nursing Home.

She was born October 20, 1923, in Moundsville, a daughter to the late Whitelaw R. and Mary Elizabeth Miner South. She was Christian by faith and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph West in 1991, and two brothers, Reed and Willard South.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 2 pm until the time of funeral service at 3 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby-Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, with Pastor Paul K. Smith officiating. Interment will take place at Stone Church Cemetery, Wheeling.

im the granddaughter of theo utter i have knon wanita for a long time helped took care of her moundview health care i will miss her prayers for the family
