As we want to give you our deepest regrets at this time, we find ourselves thinking about the wonderful times our children had in their high school years and Wanda as one of their friends. We think about the smile on her face and her giggles. She brightened our home when she was spending the night with our daughter and the other girls. May your fond memories help ease the pain during this difficult time.

Because of Christ.

Dear Glen, I don’t know if you remember me, but you volunteered for lunchroom duty at PCS and helped me out many times. I knew Wanda from Faith and was so very sad and sorry to hear of this tragedy. When I think of her, I can still hear her laugh. She was a kind and loving person and I know that you and your children will miss her terribly as will so many others whose lives she touched. My husband and I will pray for you all and I trust that our precious Savior will cradle you and your children in His loving arms through it all.

Glen, Joshua & Elizabeth,

As deeply as I hurt because my most caring friend is gone, I cannot begin to imagine the pain of losing a wife and mother. Yes Glen, your “buddy” has gone ahead of you, but she awaits you with a smile even bigger than the one she had on this earth. Josh and Beth, your mother loved you deeply; you were the joys of her life. She will be missed by all of us who knew her, but Praise the Lord, we know we will see her again!

May you feel the arms of God as He reaches out to comfort you. Wanda rests in those very arms free of all pain now. She is with her Lord forever more.

I am here for you for whatever you need. Whether you need an errand run or an ear to listen, I’m here.

God Bless,

Lynn

GLEN, WE ARE DEEPLY SADDENED BY WANDA’S HOMEGOING. I REMEMBER HER IN OUR TEENAGE YEARS AS ALWAYS BEING SO FULL OF LIFE, JOKING, AND MAKING EVERYONE ELSE LAUGH. I REMEMBER HER WITH A SPARK IN HER EYES EVERY TIME SHE SPOKE OF JOSH AND BETH. I REMEMBER HER FACE JUST FULL OF EXCITEMENT AND JOY FOR BILLY AND I WHEN TURNER WAS BORN, AND THEN AGAIN WHEN GRAYSON CAME ALONG. AND I REMEMBER HER CARING SPIRIT SHE SHOWED AS A NURSE. WANDA HAS TOUCHED SO MANY LIVES AND HAS RAISED SO MANY SPIRITS. LETS REJOICE IN THE TIME THAT THE LORD GAVE HER TO US, AND KNOW THAT SHE IS NOW IN THE ARMS OF OUR LOVING SAVOIR. WE LOVE YOU AND WILL KEEP YOU,JOSH, AND BETH IN OUR PRAYERS.

I am so sorry to hear about Wanda’s death. We were good friends at Faith, sharing fun through the Outreach Team and summer trips. She was a senior and I was only in the 8th grade but we were very close friends. I lost contact after graduation and my move to Georgia, but have tried to keep in touch with the family through Will and Barb. Cynthia, you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers! You both share the same great smile!

Much love!

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this time.

I knew Wanda as a very happy teenager who was always funny and alot of help to me as an Awana leader back in the “80’s”AT FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH and school. I didn’t see her much after she was married and had her own children but I do remember how much she loved kids and must have been a wonderful Mom. She was a very special person who will be missed by so many. I’m so sorry for your loss.

W – We will miss you

A – Always

N – No need for apology

D – Don’t think I can’t understand

A – Afterall, I have tried several times. At least we had the opportunity to accept Christ and His forgiveness. He forgives all sin, the first and the last. I only wish you could have had that confidence in your last moments. My life will never be the same because of your friendship and death.

Miss Me But Let Me Go

Author Unknown

When I come to the end of my road

And the sun has set me free, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room:

Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little but not too long;

Remember the love that we once shared.

Miss me but let me go.

For this journey we all must take, and each must go alone.

It’s all part of the Master’s plan.

A step on the road Home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart;

Go to the friends you know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.

MISS ME, BUT LET ME GO.

NOT GOOD-BYE, UNTIL I SEE YOU AT HOME!

Wanda was one of my best friends in high school. Some of my fondest memories are of times we spent together with the Outreach team, as cheerleaders, just hanging out together. She had a smile that lit up a room, her laughter and energetic spirit touched everyone she came across. A few years ago we worked together in ICU and she still had that wonderful smile and spirit that touched people. I was truly impressed by her dedication as a nurse and her compassion for her patients, they all loved her. She will be missed, and never forgotten by so many. I want to tell her children: Please know that your Mom loved you very much. She talked about you very often, she was so proud of you and loved you more than anything. My prayers are with you all for God’s strength and comfort during this very difficult time.
