WALTER PAUL SENEK, 85 OF NEFFS, OHIO, DIED MONDAY JANUARY 3, 2005 AT CRESTVIEW NURSING HOME IN ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO. HE WAS BORN MARCH 19, 1919 AT ECHO, OHIO, A SON OF THE LATE WILLIAM AND MARY BOTLENKA SENEK.

WALTER WAS A RETIRED EMPLOYEE OF THE WHEELING-PITTSBURG STEEL CORPORATIONS, MARTINS FERRY MILL, A MEMBER OF THE SACRED HEATH CATHOLIC CHURCH IN NEFFS AND THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 77 NEFFS.

WALTER WAS A US ARMY VETERAN OF WORLD WAR II. HE SPENT 36 MONTHS IN THE PACIFIC THEATER, SERVING IN THE US ARMY MEDICAL CORPS AND ALSO PARTICIPATED IN THE INVASION AND THE OCCUPATION OF THE ISLAND OF SAIPAN.

IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS, WALTER WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE JENNIE T. KENDZIORA SENEK ON APRIL 27, 2004, ONE SISTER, SOPHIA VESMAS AND FOUR BROTHERS, MIKE, STANLEY, JOHN AND WILLIAM BILL SENEK.

SURVIVING ARE ONE STEP-DAUGHTER EDNA LOUDENSLAGER AND HER HUSBAND ROBERT OF BENWOOD; ONE SISTER, SISTER MARY DAVID SENEK AT MT. ST. JOSEPH, WHEELING, WV; FIVE STEP GRANDCHILDREN, DENISE MICHAEL KRESSLER, TAMMY STONE RICHARD LAMBERT ROBIN DR. EDWARD CRUM, ESQ., ROBERT MISCHA LOUDENSLAGER, JR. EDNA LOUDENSLAGER, DR. STEPHEN KALOVITS, SEVEN STEP GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, RENEE BARKER, JUSTIN AND DARREN CRADDOCK, ERIN LYNN STONE, ROBERT LOUDENSLAGER, III, CHELSEA CRUM AND ALEXANDER CRUM AND ONE GREAT GREAT STEP GRANDDAUGHTER, JENNIE KAY CRADDOCK.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL BE RECEIVED AT THE BAUKNECHT-ALTMEYER FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATORY, 441-37TH STREET ON FRIDAY FROM 1 TO 9 PM. FUNERAL LITURGY WITH MASS WILL BE CELEBRATED ON SATURDAY AT 11 AM AT THE SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH IN NEFFS WITH FATHER ZALENSKI AS THE CELEBRANT.

ENTOMBMENT IN THE GARDEN MAUSOLEUM AT MT. CALVARY CEMETERY WHEELING, WV WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS CONDUCTED BY THE MOUNDSVILLE VETERANS HONOR GUARD.

VIGIL SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY AT 3 PM AND AMERICAN LEGION POST 77 NEFFS WILL CONDUCT LEGION SERVICES ON FRIDAY AT 7:30 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
