I had the opportunity to hear Rev. Masters preach numerous times and actually had the privilege of sharing the platfrom with him as worship leader. He was a dear saint and a treaure to the body of Christ. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and close friends during this time and may God grant you His peace.

I wanted to share some memories with you. Both of my grandparents, Henry and Sara Norvell Cornette were members of the church when it was over in Norfolk as well as Tom & Minnie Bray & Elsie & Robert Deshields all family. Rev. Masters also married my oldest sister, Barbara Cornette Reel & Richard Reel who have been married 39 years. I remember he had such a kind and friendly spirit and will be missed by many. My family and I will continue to lift you up in prayer.

John and I, and our daughter Rebecca lived across the street at Hatteras Ct. from Rev. Masters for many years and we have such good memories of Rev. Masters, being our neighbor. We have a great picture of him and Rebecca making a snowman. Rebecca enjoyed many cookies at his house as well. The world is a better place for having Walter Masters and we are better people for having known him.
