Walter A. Mastalerz

MASTALERZ, Walter A., 80, of Wheeling formerly of South Wheeling, died Wednesday May 5, 2004 at Wheeling Hospital.
Born in Wheeling on March 31, 1924, Walter was the son of the late Stanley and Antoinette Magda Mastalerz.
He was a retired employee of Bearings Inc. of Wheeling and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the former St. Ladislaus Catholic Church. Walter was a Navy veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Stella Mastalerz in 1992.
Surviving are two sisters, Rose Mastalerz of Wheeling and Helen Lagod of Weirton WV.; two brothers, John Mastalerz of Wheeling and Frank Mastalerz of Charleston WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Wheeling. Vigil services will be held at pm Friday at the funeral home.
