Johnson, Victor Brown, 93 of Noble Street, Bellaire, died March 11, 2002 in Belmont Community Hospital.

He was born May 1, 1908, in Rock Hollow, son of the late Matthew and Lottie Virginia Brown Johnson.

He was retired from the General Motors Co. a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Bellaire, a marine veteran of WW II, a member of the American Legion Post 52 Bellaire, former Chaplain of the Grand Rapids, Michigan American Legion, and a former member of the Grand Rapids Moose Lodge.

In addition to his parents, he is
preceded in death by his wife, Grace Helen Goldsmith Johnson; five brothers, Elijah, William, James, Freemont, and Matt Johnson, two sisters, Gertrude Robinson and Bernadette Ostrander.

Surviving are his brother, Charles and his wife Marie of Michigan, two sisters in law, Margaret Goldsmith and Lucille Johnson both of Bellaire; several nieces and nephews, including Jeannie Policka of Bellaire; Colleen Willis and Sue J. Goldsmith both of Bellaire and with whom he resided; and his poodle, Buster.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 441-37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio, where services will be held on Friday at 10 AM with Reverend Barry Cotter officiating. Bellaire American Legion services 6:30 PM Thursday. Interment with military graveside services in Belmont County Memorial Park, St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary and Martha Guild, Trinity Episcopal Church, 43rd and Noble Street, Bellaire, Ohio.
