So many feelings, so many emotions, so many memories…

Mom, as a child you were my teacher, my protector. As I grew, so did our relationship. You became my confidant, my staunchess supporter. You were my friend!

I will always cherish the time spent together and I will always remember the lessons taught and the sacrifices made by you for your family.

I miss you Mom, but know, you are alive in my heart and soul. I love you!!!

I knew Verna through Mary, and as I love Mary like a sister I felt a motherly love for Verna. She was a pleasure to be around and also a lot of fun! I’ll miss her presence in our world, but will hold my fond memories in my heart.

I not only experienced the pleasure of working with Verna years ago at Albinson’s in Minneapolis, I also treasure the experience of her friendship during and after that working relationship. We called and visited each other occasionally after she and her five children moved back to Rochester from Minneapolis. We shared many heartfelt talks about family, friends, experiences, and feelings; Verna was serious and caring. We had many laughs as well; Verna was fun and such a delight!

I regret not keeping in touch with my friend as the years rolled on, but I shall always cherish her and the gift of knowing her. Thank you, Connie, for sending me the memorial card and letter. I’m sorry I was not there with you and your sisters. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Mom was really my best friend and strongest ally.No matter what, she was always there for me and I love her very much. She had a very hard life and still managed to keep her head up and keep going .She gave so much to all of us, and I will especially remember her for her courage, tenacity and sheer guts, some of which I hope I have myself. I also respect her for the values she taught us and the love and sacrifices she made for her family. She and I had our good times and our bad times but I love her dearly and will miss her more than words can say. I hope you will rest easy Mom and be in the arms of the angels and Jesus, always. Say “HI” to Dave and Dad for me and all the others. Until we meet again , thank you, Mom, and God bless, Always, Chris.
