PIERSON, Vada P., 83 of RD 2, Moundsville, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, in the Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale. She was born May 10, 1918, in Marshall County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Warren D. and Florence Jefferson Garrison.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Robert’s Ridge, Moundsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Sue Pierson; three brothers, John, Homer and Carlton Garrison; and three sisters, Erma Smith, Beulah Arruda and Mabel Hunt.

Surviving are two brothers, Robert C. Garrison of Moundsville and Ernest D. Garrison and his wife, Virginia of Moundsville; a sister Grace Rosen of Centerville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Interment in Greenview Cemetery, Robert’s Ridge, Moundsville.
