Uel M. LeMasters
Age: 65
Uel M. LeMasters, 65, of Valley Drive, Wellsville, OH died suddenly in the Emergency Room at East Liverpool City Hospital on Saturday, October 13, 2001. He was born in Dodridge County, WV on May 26, 1936, a son of the late Uel M. LeMasters and Opal Hardman LeMasters.
Mr. LeMasters has lived in this area most of his adult life working as a deck hand for the Dravo Corporation. He also was the owner operator of the Old & Older Antique Shop in Wellsville. Mr. LeMasters graduated from Toronto High School in 1956, served with the US Army in Germany and was a co-founder of the Wellsville Little League Football where he also was a coach.
He is surviced by his wife, Sherry Armstrong LeMasters, whom he married on June 16, 1957; two daughters: Lynn Byers of East Liverpool, OH and Diana Lyle and her husband, Gary of Wellsville; two brothers: Kenneth LeMasters of Massillon, OH and Ralph LeMasters of Toronto, OH; two sisters: Eula Greer of Toronto, OH and Karolyn Martin of Toronto, OH and two grandchildren: Shannon and Kaitlyn Lyle.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers: Arthur and Karl LeMasters.
Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert French of the Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
The family will be present at the funeral home in Wellsville to receive friends on Tuesday, October 16, 2001 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.

I heard about your loss late Monday night. I am so sorry. I was not able to make it to calling hours, but did want to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. I really thought alot of Junior and he always made me feel comfortable and at home.
