Aunt Dee Daw..for 2 days I have tried to describe my thoughts and feelings and I just can’t. Both you and Uncle Tom have always been my “second parents”. From the time I was an awkward kid and refused to speak to people in public you remember, I hid under the tableuntil the time I became an adult, you both have always supported me. Please know that my heart is with you completely and I am always here for you. I love you!

Dear Linda: I was so shocked to hear about Tom. God has blessed you, and all of us, with a wonderful man and we were all very lucky to have had him as a part of our lives. I guess God either needed a partner for the member-guest or was in need of some excitement. Every single memory that I have of Tom was, simply put, an event. I remember our Christmas parties as Whitmar Hills when the fun didn’t start until Tom and Joe showed up. Whether it was battling tops, electric football or pick-up-stix, the competition was on. Not that it is his only legacy, but it is one that in now engrained in the Gundling DNA. From wiffle-ball games at the farm, to cabin stays at Oglebay, to wedding golf tournaments, to Christmas parties at your house, Tom always was on his game; upbeat and awesome. I will so miss not having him to add his special touch to family events. Linda, we all love you and God bless, David, Kitty, Collins, Zade, Gabby and Hailey.

Dear, Dear Linda……Words seem so empty right now. I always thought of you & Tom as St. Clairsville’s “Nancy & Ronnie,” so devoted and loving to each other. Savor the wonderful relationship you shared, reflect on the countless memories, and draw strength from knowing that your life together was one of the greatest blessings life can give.

You two were an inspiration to many of us, and I will never forget

the memories of the two of you together. I can’t imagine the hole that you must feel in your heart. You are in my constant thoughts and prayers. I feel very blessed to have known you both. I pray that God will surround you with His peace at this tragic time.

Steve & I send our love…..

Dearest Linda:

I was shocked to say the least to read Tom’s obituary on line.

I knew Tom when I worked for Jim Cook at Phillips Stamping Company in Bellaire many many years ago.

Tom was always friendly and I truly enjoyed being around him.

God needed another Angel so he called Tom home! Be assured that he is now at peace and will be watching over you!

My devotions this morning were on death. While we are mourning Tom’s loss, the angels in Heaven were rejoicing and happy to see Tom come “home”. it further stated that they had streamers awaiting his arrival.

May you be comforted in knowing your loved one is at peace.

God Bless You!

I will miss Tom’s bright smile of “Hello”. I remember with a chuckle, when he called to you “Let’s go Linda Lovelace”. That particular day enlightened me to his cute sence of humor. Up till then I knew him only through work in our office. I am grateful I got to see that side of him. I especially will always appreciate and remember the kind words of thanks he personally wrote in my xmas cards, not from the club, but from You and He personally. It meant a great deal to me. I will cherish them always.

Like Fern I too lost a husband, to cancer 20 yrs ago, he was 43. We were married 26 yrs. I know the pain that is in your heart. I can only tell you that time helps, and keeping busy and involved with whatever makes you happy does help. In time,You will be at a place where a certain smell, or memory won’t hurt as much, but will give you comfort instead. The years you shared can never be taken away, nor can the wonderful memories, and the Love will forever remain in your heart. Our prayers are with you Linda, God Bless.

I worked at First National Bank of Barnesville and now WesBanco and got to know so many of those very nice men that worked so hard for so many people at Shamrock Conduit. Tom always made a point to speak to me when ever I might have run in to him in the many years that have followed those days. I know how much he was loved and respected by his family. May God grant you much peace in your days ahead, Tom will always be fondly remembered.

Linda ~ how very thankful I am for the many FUN times we all had together and for the wonderful memories of the Farm, Tom’s “C is for Chaperon” Christmas celebrations, reunions and just sharing time together. Our family has been truly blessed and by the way, Tom was one of the best “PREACHERS” I have ever known! I’ve enjoyed the many marriage ceremonies he preformed through the years. Love and prayers. Ms. Linda,

Words don’t do justice at this point. Mr. Tom was an uncle to me and you will always be an Aunt. It’s hard to believe we were just up in Columbus, watching another Buckeye victory and having a great meal with everyone.

Paula and I so very much enjoyed being with you and Mr. Tom all the time. We were very much looking forward to the next Ohio State game with you guys in a couple of weeks.

We wish we could be there with you now.
