CAMPBELL, Thomas R., 69, of Wheeling, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
He was born June 1, 1943 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late George and Chloia Coon Campbell.
Tom was retired from the construction trade and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife Maria “Maggie” Campbell in 2004.
Surviving are 2 children; Michelle Campbell of St. Clairsville, Michael Campbell and Brandyn Meininger of Pittsburgh, PA, a sister, Sally Martin of Wellston, OH and 5 grandchildren; Laura and Brandon Henthorne, and Austin, Haleigh and Kadis Campbell.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 2:00 until time of services at 8:00pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, with Pastor Gary Henthorne officiating.
Burial will take place on Monday at 11:00am in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.
The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military services at 7:45pm on Saturday in the funeral home.

Dear Michelle, Laura and Brandon, I am thinking of all of you and knowing your loss. It is so hard to lose someone that you have loved and held so close to your heart. I am remembering you in prayer. So very sorry to hear about your father passing Michelle. Time shall surely heal your broken heart. I pray that you will have the peace and strength to remember and celebrate him, his life, and his love for you. My love to you sister in Christ, i am here for you always. Mike & Michelle – I am so sorry for your loss I can’t imagine what you are going through. My thoughts are with you and your families. You have my sincere condolences on the loss of your father.
