OBITUARY NOTICE

Theodore Joseph “Ted” Quick

Theodore Joseph “Ted” Quick of Lisbon, OH died peacefully in his sleep of natural causes following a bad flu on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Although his life besieged by many troubles, he still loved his family, the arts and helping people.

Born in Long Branch, NJ, he grew up moving and attending different schools before his family settled in Newark, Delaware, where he lived for 28 years. He went on to study art at Rockford Museum of Art. Pieces of his works show his love of color, nature and dimensions. As a teenager, he and his friends formed a band, “The Eclectics” where he played guitar and base guitar.

As an adult, he was always ready to be a friend to anyone in need. He befriended and was a protector to those with physical and mental challenges. More recently, he would visit his mother on Riverside and while sitting on the porch watching the Ohio River, was always available with a friendly word for anyone who walked by. He would often sit on the porch with his mother and comment on how peacefully and beautiful the Ohio River was as he looked over at the West Virginia Hills.

Theodore was preceded in death by his father, Edward Anthony of Wellsville. Survived by his mother, Janice Lee Feisley Quick of Wellsville, OH, his sister, Elizabeth Ann Quick of Wellsville, OH and his brother and his family, Timothy Edward Quick, Adrienne Mills and Hayley Mills Quick niece of Great Falls, VA. He will also be missed by his aunts , uncle and many cousins.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Ted’s cousin, Rev. Gerald Dodds officiating.

Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
