Frankie – My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May knowing others care help you through this difficult time.
I tried locating MR Clay after seeing his name in a Navy Pub. Remembering his lovely wife’s name being Frankie, I was momentarily excited with apparent success …until seeing his obituary.
To me he was THE Officer and Gentleman that inspire men to follow and serve. it was my pleasure to serve under him at NAS NORFOLK and again at NAS BARBERS PT at his invitation.
My wife Shirley and my deepest sympathy to Mrs Clay and her Family.
Kenneth Phillips USN/Ret
May the peace that comes from the memories of love shared comfort you now and in the days ahead.
With our sincerest sympathy,
Jim and Deb Smith
