Teddy P. Martinkosky, 83, of Wheeling, WV, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 in the Peterson Hospital.
He was born in Lansing, Ohio on May 1, 1920, and was the son of the late Joseph A. and Mary A. Bojarski Martinkosky.
Teddy was a member of the former St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Wheeling and a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was also member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, the PAP Club and the Lansing Sports Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley "Martin" Martinkosky and Stephen "Mabel" Martinkosky.
Surviving are his wife, Mirandy Gorczyca Martinkosky; two sons, Ronald E. Martinkosky and his wife, Kathleen of Bridgeport, Ohio and Richard E. Martinkosky and his wife, Phyllis, of Wheeling; a daughter, Janet Cunningham and her husband, Charles, of Wheeling; and two brothers, Fr. Joseoh A. Martinkosky of Columbus, Ohio and Leonard Martinkosky of Willoughby, Ohio. He is also survived by two grandsons, Matthew Cunningham of Wheeling and Alexander Martinkosky of Bridgeport, Ohio; four granddaughters, Wendy Tronka and her husband, Michael, of Lansing, Ohio, Carrie Gralinski and her husband, Shawn of Ft. Leonardwood, MO., Mareesa Cunningham of Wheeling and Amy Martinkosky of Bridgeport, Ohio; two great granddaughters, Celeste and Colleen Tronka of Lansing, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, South Wheeling Chapel, 3828 Jacob Street, Wheeling from 12-9 p.m. Friday.
Liturgy of the Word with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling with the Rev. Patrick Condron officiating. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
Vigil services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

We just finished all of the thank you cards. My dad had so many friends. We had to order 5 more boxes of cards. Thank you everyone for your support during this difficult time.
