Talma “Tince” Ledney, 93, of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Tuesday March 18, 2008 at the Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire, Ohio.

She was born March 2, 1915 in Woco, West Virginia a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Bess Caruthers.

Tince was a retired EKG Technician at the former Bellaire City Hospital and a member of the Powhatan Point Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Gray in 1948 and her second husband, Michael P. Ledney in 1991, one daughter, Doris Wayts, two grandchildren, Terry and Walter Wayts, three brothers, Burton, Charles and Harold Caruthers and two sisters, Juanita Clower and Thelma Jenson.

Surviving are two children, Lew Rose Gray of Powhatan Point, Ohio and Theda Johnny Workman of Tornado, West Virginia. Also ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 186 Main Street Powhatan Point, Ohio on Friday March 21, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where services will be held on Saturday at 11 am with Rev. Kenneth Noonan officiating. Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, Ohio.

I’m sorry for your loss. How well I remember your mother. What fun she was. It is hard to give them up, however, she is in my memories especially hanging out on your porch. You have my deepest sympathy, its been many years since I’ve seen you.
