I am so sorry to hear of your loss,I knew syble from the years we worked together at rices nachmans, downtown norfolk, she was the buyer for the dept I managed, she was a warm caring person, and i really enjoyed working for her all those years.we lost contact after the store closed but i seen her again at a/n shoes at college park.I have you in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.
I have fond memories of my Aunt Syble dancing to Nat King Cole music when I visited as a kid about 1955; but sadly, I never got to see her again. We were in touch for many years by phone and mail and I treasured her letters. It’s a comfort to think she’s at peace now and with her son and brother.
I miss Syble so much. We worked together at A&N and became quick friends. Many years sepearted us in age, but we were friends none the less. She shared her stories of when she worked at Rices Nachmans and I shared mine when I worked at Miller & Rhodes. Even after A&N closed, we kept in touch. I love you Syble and will always remember you. Rest In Peace my dear friend.
To Laura and Bill, our thoughts and prayers will be with you today. We know Syble is at peace and with her brother and son.
Sincerely,
Rex and Mary
We will miss Aunt Syble, she was a sweet and dear soul. I’m thankful that I was able to visit with her 3 years ago when she came to Florida to visit her sister my Mom. She will be missed, but we know she is in a better place now and that brings us comfort. Our prayers and thoughts will be with her family through this sad time.
