Steven Wayne Woodward

Steven Wayne “Woody” Woodward, 51, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in Newport News.
Mr. Woodward was an auto technician with Pearson’s Toyota. He enjoyed golf, softball, darts, bowling, and always being the life of any party.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Woodward.
Survivors include his wife, Bernadette Woodward; his children, Jeannie Anthony Martin, Tiffany Charlie DeVaughn, and Brian Elizabeth Perkins; his parents, Norman J. “Woody” Ann Woodward and Melba Elizabeth “Bettye” McClung White; his brother, David Woodward; seven grandchildren; sister-in-law, Michelle Olivo; and many other beloved family members. He also leaves several close friends including Dawn and Steve Matthews; Sandra, Nic, and Danielle Scott; and Chris Marshall.
Special thanks go to Dr. Edward Rose, Dr. Virginia Boothe, and the nurses of Heartland Hospice and UVA Health Systems for all of their care and kindness.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 3 to 5 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Denbigh Chapel, followed by a memorial service at 5 pm.
