Stephen B. Steve WOJCIK

WOJCIK, Stephen B. Steve, Sr., 84, of Wheeling, WV died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at his home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was retired from Ormet Corp., Hannibal, Ohio and Wheeling Steel Corugating Plant; an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 901 1st Field Artillary Battilion; a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling; Kain Club; Cave Club and American Legion, Blake Brothers Post 46, Benwood, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Pacoriek Wojcik; three brothers, John, Stanley and Joe Wojcik; two sisters, Genevieve Evangelist and Wanda Seltysials. Surviving are his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary A. Kordack Wojcik; a son, Steve B., Jr., and his wife, Denny, of Wheeling; a daughter, Sandy Russell and her husband, Barry, of Wheeling; a brother, Frank Wojcik and his wife, Mitzie, of Wheeling; and he was cared for at home by his loving niece, Sharon Torbett of Lexington, S.C.; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Brian and Amy Wojcik, all of Wheeling, Brooke and Lisa Russell, both of Whittier, CA; several nephews and nieces. Friends received 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, with vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2002, at St. Joseph Cathedral. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
