WOJCIK, Stephen B. Steve, Sr., 84, of Wheeling, WV died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at his home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was retired from Ormet Corp., Hannibal, Ohio and Wheeling Steel Corugating Plant; an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 901 1st Field Artillary Battilion; a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling; Kain Club; Cave Club and American Legion, Blake Brothers Post 46, Benwood, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Pacoriek Wojcik; three brothers, John, Stanley and Joe Wojcik; two sisters, Genevieve Evangelist and Wanda Seltysials. Surviving are his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary A. Kordack Wojcik; a son, Steve B., Jr., and his wife, Denny, of Wheeling; a daughter, Sandy Russell and her husband, Barry, of Wheeling; a brother, Frank Wojcik and his wife, Mitzie, of Wheeling; and he was cared for at home by his loving niece, Sharon Torbett of Lexington, S.C.; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Brian and Amy Wojcik, all of Wheeling, Brooke and Lisa Russell, both of Whittier, CA; several nephews and nieces. Friends received 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, with vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2002, at St. Joseph Cathedral. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 2518 Cadillac Avenue, Wheeling or to Valley Hospice, 98 B East Cove Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003

Dear Mrs. Wojcik and family,

We are deeply sorry for your loss. He was a very deloved and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
