Stella E. Szydlowska Adams, 91, formerly of North Wheeling, died Friday, August 16, 2002 in Cabell Huntington Hospital.
She was a retired toy maker and assembler at the former Marx Toy Company, Glen Dale, a member of the Italian-American Club, Wheeling, a former member of the Christian Mothers of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wheeling, and a member of St. Joseph Cathedral Parish, Wheeling.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse V. "Dynamite" Adams, Sr. on May 17, 2002, a son, Jesse V. Adams, Jr., in 1980, her parents, Frank and Mary Charneska Szydlowska, two brothers, Frank and John Szydlowski, and two sisters, Mary Soloski and Anne Machesky.
Surviving is a son, Joseph F. Adams and his wife Zani of South Point, Ohio, a daughter, Carmella M. Davis and her husband Carman of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, two sisters, Bertha Andenora of Wheeling and JoAnn Tighe and her husband Bernard of Wadsworth, Ohio, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove. Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, August 19, 2002 at 12 Noon at St. Joseph Cathedral with the Rev. Larry Dorsch as celebrant. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
