STELLA A. VENERI 84 of Powhatan Point, died Wednesday February 6, 2002 at Belmont Community Hospital.

She was born January 21, 1918 in Stewartsville, a daughter of the late Charles and Clara Zabitski.

She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Powhatan Point and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #228, Powhatan Point.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Rykowski; two brothers, John and Joseph Zabitski.

Surviving are her husband, Marion Veneri; a daughter, Carolyn Giel and her husband Charles of Solon, Ohio; a sister, Sophia McKay of St. Clairsville, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Matt Giel.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point. Vigil services will be 7:00 PM Friday, followed by American Legion Auxiliary services at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday at the Powhatan Cemetery Chapel with Msgr. Gene Mullett officiating. Interment in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.
