Sophia C. Baran

Sophia C. Pasden Baran, 94, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002 at Bishop Joseph H. Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling.
She was born March 30, 1908, in Poland, a daughter of the late Peter and Juliana Wojcik Pasden.
She was the former owner of Glenwood Cleaners, Wheeling; a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling; and a member of the Wheeling Hospital Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, preceding in death are her husband, John M. Baron; a sister, Anna Poludniak; six brothers, Anthony, John, Michael, Stanley, Joseph and Andrew Pasden.
Surviving are her sister Josephine Gornik of Wheeling, two brohters, Frank Pasden and his wife, Helen of Wheeling, Edward Pasden and his wife Julia, of Wheeling; a several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling. Liturgy with Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. James LaCrosse, S.M. as celebrant. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
