UCHANSKI, Shirley L., 85 of Wheeling, died Friday, January 6, 2012 in the Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center.
She was born December 9, 1926 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Lester and Mabel Hall.
Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and listening to Polka’s on Sunday mornings and Barbara Mandrell.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Victor J. Uchanski, and 3 brothers; Bob, John and Rex Hall.
Surviving are 2 children; Joyce Milton of Triadelphia, Denny Uchanski of Bethlehem, 3 sisters; Alberta Hinton of Wheeling, Geraldine McEwain of Bethlehem, Norma Carr of Moundsville and a granddaughter, Victoria Milton.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 9, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am, with the Rev. Glen Baker, Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
