Dear Stephen,

I am Eddie’s daughter, Joan. I think you may have been a baby the last time I saw you! Shirley was a very sweet and loving person. My father alway spoke so highly of her, and of Jean also. I will always remember her laughter and her smile. Both beautiful. The last time that she and Carl came to visit here in F’burg it was a surprise visit and I insisted on making them breakfast which they declined over and over, not wanting to put me out. I pulled out a carton of eggs and said, “look here, I have tons of eggs and it will just take a minute to make you an omelet”. Finally they said yes, they would stay. When I went to crack the eggs into the bowl, I realized that each egg was empty! My son had used them and then put them back in the carton with top and bottom matched so I had no clue until I went to use them. We three laughed and laughed. I have no idea what I fixed for them after that but I will never forget the fun we had. Though I did not see them often, Carl and Shirley were always wonderful to be with and I know how much you were loved.

Sorry that the snow is coming as I was planning on making the trip to the funeral tomorrow. She is in my heart as are all of you. Blessings and love. Joan and Ted Limbrick

My grandmother was the fabric of my life. She always made me feel special and was always quick to put a smile on my face. It’s will be hard to say goodbye to her but I know she is with my grandfather and mom looking over us all now. I will always love you Grandma and will continue to think of you everyday.

Shirley and her late husband Carl were a lovely couple, friendly and gracious. I met them back in the 60’s through Shirley’s sister Jean, my special friend of many years. Rest in peace, Shirley.

Shirley was my sister and was a big influence on my life. We shared life’s blessings as well as some bumps in the road along the way. She looked out for me and shared secrets, good and naughty, with me. She was very smart and unassuming, she could make beautiful music on the piano and organ. She sared this talent with our Church for many years. She married Carlton and they had a daughter Diane who was the joy of their lives. Shirley was a loving daughter, sister and now mother . When her two grandchildren joined her family she had Stephen then Heather to nurture and love also. She was a talented crafter and shared the results with others. It was with sadness that life for her changed physically. She stilled smiled and enjoyed the visits, love and care she received with the same graciousness as always. I will miss her very much but remember “my sister” forever. Now she is with the heavenly family that welcomed her. God Bless her and those that preceded her. I am sure she is still smiling. Love, Jean
