S. Daniel Pack, 77, of East Lawn, St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Newark, OH, died at the Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus, OH.
He was born July 29, 1924 at Warfield, KY., a son of the late Joe, Jr., and Goldie Kirk Pack.
Dan was the former Supertindent of Claims for State Farm Insurance, Wheeling, WV.
He was a member and Elder for Calvary Presbyterian Church of St. Clairsville, OH.
Dan was a Marine veteran of WWII, a member of the Lions Club, and a historian for the Saints Club.
He was a graduate of Concord College and Mercer Law School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Bill, Don, and Junior Pack, and a sister, Marquerite Spencer.
Surviving are his wife Ann, a son Dan Jr. of Charlotte. NC., daughters Bunni Shumway and Rebecca Collen, both of Granville, OH, brothers Harold of Vienna, VA. John of Anawalt, WV. and a sister Betty Marie Stepp, also of Anawalt. Also surviving are grandchildren, William, Zachary, Annie and Carly Markley, Jacob Shumway, and step-grandchildren Tyler, Chris and Greg Collen.
Friends will be received Saturday, 5-7 PM and Sunday, 1-4 PM at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 204 West main Street, St. Clairsville, OH.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday at Calvary Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville, OH, with the Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating.
Burial follows at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville.
