Thompson, Scott W., 53, of Wheeling, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at Ohio Valley Medical Center.
Born in Wheeling on August 25, 1950, Scott was the son of the late Russell and Marjorie Palmer Thompson. He was employed by Blazer Lawn Service and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his wife Susan Gray Thompson in September of 2003; his sister, Nanette Thompson; and his niece, Jessica Thompson.
Surviving are four daughters, Michelle L. Thompson of Wheeling, Lisa M. Thompson, Lori A. Thompson, and Holly N. Thompson all at home; one
granddaughter, Taryn S. Thompson at home; two brothers, Ron Thompson and his wife Susie of Mt. Olivet, Bruce Thompson and his wife Stephanie of Mt. Olivet; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Klempa and her husband Orphy and Jean Ann Park and her husband Keith all of Wheeling; three nieces, Ashley and Megan Thompson of Mt. Olivet and Ricki Jo Thompson of Wheeling; two nephews Derek and David Park both of Wheeling; and numerous cousins.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, Friday 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at altmeyer.com.

Girls,

My heart goes out to all of you at this time! I wish that I could find some comforting words to help heal your hearts. Both your mother and your father were wonderful people and a great inspiration to me, and I will never forget them. May God bless you, and hold you close.
