Sandra Luz Ramirez was born on April 21, 1946 in the town of Reynosa, Mexico. She was born to her two loving parents Zaragoza and Enedina Gonzalez. Sandra was the oldest of seven children, she had three sisters and two brothers. She spent her childhood living in Ingleside, Texas where she also helped rear all her brothers and sisters. During her young adult life, Sandra lived with her grandmother in Monterrey, Mexico where she met and fell in love with her soul mate Francisco Javier Ramirez. Frank and Sandra married on December 18th, 1972. Together they had two children, Sandra Gabriela Ramirez and Luis Javier Ramirez. After nine years living in Monterrey, the family moved to the United States back to Sandra’s hometown of Ingleside. It was here that Sandra worked for the Ingleside Independent School District for over thirty years. She was a pillar to the community of Ingleside and was recognized by all family and friends alike. At the end of 2004, Sandra, Frank, and Luis moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia where their eldest daughter, Sandra Gabriela, had already made a life of her own with her husband Joe Gillen and their two children Joey Xavier Gillen and Yliana Gabriela Gillen. Sandra continued to work by being employed with Wal-Mart and as a nanny to her grandchildren. Most importantly, Sandra was also Frank’s caretaker when he came down with a fatal illness. When Frank passed away on July 7th, 2014, Sandra went into depression and was hospitalized. She fought and lasted as long as she could. Sandra Luz Ramirez passed away on May 3rd, 2015. Her unconditional love for her family and especially her husband should be the milestone of Sandra’s life. Sandra was a devoted Christian woman, loved, and served the Lord Jesus Christ all her life. Sandra Luz Ramirez will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew this amazing woman.

I will always remember you from my High School years. I spent time with you as an office aide. But most of all I will remember you through our beautiful daughter my best friend in life. I pray your family finds peace. We know you are waiting for them in Heaven.
The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God.
Matthew 5:4
