Ruth V. Bishop, 86, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed to her eternal home, Sunday, January 21, 2007, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born June 23, 1920, in St. Clairsville, a daughter of the late Millard and Lydia Burghy VanDyne.
Ruth was a former St. Clairsville Grade School Cafeteria manager for eight years.
Among her hobbies was bowling, which she enjoyed for twenty years.
Showing her love through her passion for cooking, her friendly smile and true love for family and friends, she will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her grandson, Mark Bishop.
Ruth was a loving mother to her son Millard "Butch" and his wife Phyllis Bishop, of Cranberry, Pa.,: her grandson Brent and his wife Linda Bishop, of Fombell, PA.; and his great-grandchildren; Leann, Garrett and Joshua Bishop
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Thursday, at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950, where funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Bob Merritt officiating.
Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
