Age 82

Ruth A. Green 82, formerly of Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio, died Monday morning, April 30, 2001 at her daughter’s home on Houston Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio

She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on October 12, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Friend Washington Shook and Margaret Martha Kane Shook.

A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Green did domestic work in several area homes.

She had been active in Moose, Eagles and VFW Auxiliaries.

She is survived by a son, John R. Green of Aliquippa, Pa; 4 daughters, Beverly Byers of East Liverpool, Ohio, Janet Maxwell of Lisbon, Ohio, Nancy Hall of East Liverpool, Ohio and Roxanne Hebb of East Liverpool, Ohio with whom she lived; one sister, Katherine Owens of East Liverpool, Ohio; 32 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Richard A. Green and Danny Joe Green; a daughter, Margaret DaLonzo; 2 brothers, Wilbert Shook and James Shook; 2 sisters, Edith Wolfe and Margaret Shook; and Clarence White, her companion for over 30 years, who died in October 1997.

Services will be held at the East Liverpool Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday, May 3, 2001 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dan Holloway of the East Liverpool Church of God, officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present at the funeral home in East Liverpool to receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2001 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

I wish to offer my condolences to the Green family for the loss of their mother, and loved one. I too, share your loss. Aunt Ruth always had a warm smile, and friendly attitude toward me. I will miss her as you do.
