Dear Dad,

I love you so much. I wish you could have stayed with us longer but I know you were tired. God saw that. He looked in his book of your history and realized that it was your time to go. Your time to finally meet him. I want you to tell God that I said thank you. Thank you for the time he allowed us to be with you. To have memories that will last a lifetime. Please look out for mom. She loves you so much. You made her so happy to be with you. For me I could see it was time for you to go. I knew that it was coming soon. I didnít want to face it but I knew. God told me in my sleep that it was coming and that, Mom, Chris and I, will be fine. Donít worry too much dad, that was one of your many traits.

I am so proud of you for all that you have accomplished in the short time you were here on earth. Being the greatest dad anyone could ever have while serving in the Navy for 20 years, getting your masters degree while you were still in the hospital recovering from the unexpected disaster that followed your surgery, and finally becoming a teacher and living the dream you fought so hard for. I envied you so much. Sometimes I think that I will never accomplish as much as you did. I know I will, it just takes time, but I wanted you to see it all. All of your friends and family are just so proud of everything that you have done in life.

Another thing you had is a warm heart. Your heart was so big at times that I thought that it was so full that nothing else could be placed in it, but it never failed, there was more room for anyone who needed your help. You were always there to lend a helping hand and we are saddened to know the students you were going to teach this year, will never know what a great, patient and caring teacher you were. Your faith and beliefs made you into who you were. The loving father that I love. Iíll miss seeing you every morning when I first wake up. But I know youíll be there. Youíll always be in my heart daddy. I love you. Sleep peacefully in heaven.

Forever and always,

Your little girl Kathryn

I am a friend of dear CIndy Walton, she is deeply wounded by the loss of her big brother, her “hero” who saved her , and who was a wonderful brother, person, and she is so priviledged to have had him in her life. He was a strong brave man who defended our country and his family and a devoted father and teacher, a brilliant amazing person. He is not going to easily missed as he left an imprint on Cindy’s and the lives of probably 1000’s of people. Based on what Cindy has shared I imagine he will be remembered for many years to come. Please be of comfort to one another during this time because this is a time when family truly needs one another. Cindy has an amazing strength and faith in God that that will help her endure this huge loss. I hope you all will have strength in Him and believe that your dear brother, son, or friend is at the threshold in Heaven. Roy I am sorry to only get to know you through memories but Im grateful for how you touched the lives of so many and influenced my very special friend Cindy.

God Bless you and yours.

I was so sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. Although I never met him personally, I “chatted” with him several times on the Russell County Genealogy web site.

I will pray for his family in their time of loss.

I was so sorry to read about Roy Wayne. We were related, but never met. My grandmother was Mary Elizabeth MollieDuncan Sage. Roy Wayne emailed my daughter about this at one time. He seemed so young for this but I lost my 27 year old son last year. Death doesn’t ignore the youth. My prayers are with you, and I know that you will have to stay busy but take time to grieve.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Wayne was always a great help whenever I had any computer questions. Getting to know wayne and your family on the Russell Co Chat was nice. In fact he was like a distant cousin. He was a great guy. I’m Ellen from the chat room.
