AGAR, Rose Mary, 82, of Follansbee, WV died Sunday, April 10, 2005 at home.
Born in Wheeling WV on August 5, 1922, Rose Mary was the daughter of the late Herbert F. and Cecelia Zitzmann Agar. She was a former member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling and a current member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee WV where she was a member of the Rosary Alter Society and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis/ Secular Part, College of Steubenville, the Brooke County Senior Citizens, a former volunteer at Change Inc, Weirton, a volunteer at Greater Weirton Senior Center and W. A. T. C. H. of Wheeling, a member of RSBP of Brooke and Hancock Counties, the Wheeling Civitan Club and the WV Delta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Rose Mary was a retired employee of N.O.V.A.- US Government.
In addition to her parents, Rose Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Ehni and Dorothy Jean Urbanek.
Surviving are two sisters, Betty Lee Maloney of Follansbee and Margaret Ann Cunningham and her husband Jack of Moundsville;two brothers, Herbert J. Agar and his wife Dorothy Ann of Martins Ferry Ohio, and Maurice Agar and his wife Myrna of Mt. Olivet; numerous nieces and nephew.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling Tuesday, April 12, 2005 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday April 14, 2005 at 10am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling. Entombment in Mt Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor
