Rodney J. McGlothlin, 53 of Martins Ferry, Ohio died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on April 29, 1959 a son of the late John D. and Lorraine G. Conaway McGlothlin.
Rod was a former Physical Therapy Aide at the East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey McGlothlin.
Surviving are one sister, Shirley Connors of Tiltonsville, Ohio and four brothers, Robert McGlothlin of Colerain, Ohio, William McGlothlin of El Paso, Texas, David McGlothlin of Wheeling, West Virginia and Donald McGlothlin of Chillicothe, Ohio. Also several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Friday from 6 pm until time of services at 8 pm.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rodney J. McGlothlin Memorial Fund.

I worked with Rod at EORH, I got to know him and he truly was a kind hearted person, who always made me laugh, and always spoke no matter what kind of day he was having. He will be truly missed and my deepest condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear about rod. I was lucky to have him as my friend and coworker for 4 years. He made laugh everyday. He touched so many peoples lives and the world was a greater place with rod in it.

To the family, you have my sympathy. When I was 27 I had a serious spinal cord injury and had to learn to walk again. Rod was there for me. His humor so helped me get through the worst time in my life. You can be proud to know he helped many not just me. He will be missed. Blessings to all of you.
