GOOCH, Robert W., 61, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, in Wheeling Hospital. He was retired from Wheeling Transit Authority; and a member of United Methodist Church, West Liberty, WV. He was preceded in death by his father, Avery Francis Gooch; a brother, Francis Eugene Gooch; and a maternal grandmother. Myrtle Shephard. Surviving are his wife, Delores Marie Gooch Henry of Wheeling; his mother, Clara Shephard Gooch of West Liberty; two sons, Robert Gooch and his wife, Lisa, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, and Avery Gooch and his wife, JoAnn, of Shadyside, Ohio; seven brothers, Walter, Larry and Richard, all of Wheeling, Franklin and his wife, Maggie of Dallas Pike, WV, Rick of West Liberty. Victor and his wife, Jan of Wheeling, and Edward and his wife, Carletta, of Wheeling; seven sisters, Marilyn Fry and her husband, James, of Wheeling, Gloria Green and her husband, Mike, of Triadelphia, Joyce Shearer and her husband, Sam, of McKeesport, PA., Darlene Chance and her husband, Tom, of Wheeling, Kathy Skaggs and her husband, David, of Texas, Anita Tredway and her husband, Raymond, of West Liberty, and Rhea Gooch of Pitcarin, PA; nine grandchildren, Chaz Gooch of Wheeling, Renee Arcuragi of Bridgeport, Ohio, Melyssa and Matthew Bohem, Both of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Krystyna, Chelsea and Andrea Gooch, all of Shadyside. Zackery and Jazmyme Gooch, both of Martins Ferry; several nephews and nieces. Friends received from 11 a.m. until service at 1 p.m at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, with the Rev. Glen Baker officiating. Interment in Prall Cemetery, West Liberty.
