Robert W. Bartlett, 83, of McMechen, WV, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born August 27, 1931 in Benwood, son of the late William and Sarah Haislip Bartlett.

Robert was retired from the former Mobay CorpBayer, was a member of the American Legion-Blake Brothers, Post 46, the Wheeling Bowling Association which he was a member of the Hall of Fame, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wheeling and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hoyt Bartlett, 3 sons; Robert “Greg” Bartlett of Beckley, WV, Donald A. Bartlett and his wife, Rhonda, of Orlando, FL, Bruce E. Bartlett and his wife, Janet of Pittsburgh, PA, a sister; Sylvia Browning and her husband, Joseph, of Moncks Corner, SC; 4 grandchildren, 4 stepgrandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 step great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Sunday, June 7, 2015, from 1:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St., McMechen, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3536 Eoff St., Wheeling, on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10:00am with Pastor Sean Smith officiating.

Burial will take place after a luncheon at the church at 1:30pm at Greenlawn Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV with full military graveside honors from the Moundsville Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund, or to the Marshall County Animal shelter.
