MALATINSKY, Robert S. “Bob”, 66, of Wheeling, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.

Bob was born September 1, 1941 in Wheeling, a son of the late Stephen A. and Helen R. Marchlenski Malatinsky. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling; the Holy Name Society at St. Alphonsus; and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Bob is survived by his sister, Miriam Deinhardt and her husband, Regis “Dino”; two nieces, Christina M. Deinhardt-Costain and her husband, Doug and Anne Marie Potts and her husband, Robert “Bob”, all of Wheeling; three great-nieces, Alena Margaret Costain, Ella Marie Costain and Madeline Jean Potts; and a great-nephew, Christopher Stephen Costain.

Friends will be received from 5-8 pm, Friday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where a rosary service will be held at 7:30 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, August 9, 2008 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Frank O’Kruta as celebrant. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

The family requests that no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either, Catholic Charities Neighborhood Center, 125 18th Street, Wheeling or St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2111 Market Street, Wheeling.

Dear Family of Robert Malatinsky,

I am sorry about the lost of your loved one. Words cannot describe feelings in a time like this. Many have found comfort in the Bible’s promises of seeing our past loved ones again. Keep memories of your loved one close.
