THOMAS, Robert J. Sr. passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012, at his home on Hospital Road.
He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Suzzette Thomas, and parents, James and Eva Thomas.
Robert is survived by his wife, Jeanine Lombardi Thomas; son Robert J. Thomas Jr. and wife, Mary Law Thomas; son, Matthew A. Thomas and Abigail Hinton; and daughter, Gina Marie Thomas and husband, Tony losue. He had nine grandchildren: Alisha Thomas, Rachel Thomas, Christian Thomas, Isabel Thomas, John-Paul Thomas, Arianna Iosue, Gianna Iosue, Angelo Iosue and Emily Jo Thomas.
Extended family include brothers-in-law, Russell and Annette Lombardi; Jan and Bonnie Lombardi; Gene Lombardi; sister-in- law, Margaret Messick; cousins, Frank and Joyce Tomasek and Anna and Vinnie Farrell; five nephews, two nieces and close friends of the family, George and Anne Piette and Tom and Judy Long.
Robert was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, whose love for airplanes stayed with him long after his time of service. He was an active member of the St. Clairsville RC Flyers and the Experimental Aircraft Association EAA.
He worked as a design draftsman with Ormet for 17 years, and was a mechanical designer at many other plants along the Ohio River.
Robert will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

I know this is a difficult time for your family as you have lost your rock in Pappy. However, I am confident that he is flying planes in heaven amongst the angels!
