Robert I. Dunn
Age 85

Robert I. Dunn of St. Clair Ave., Calcutta passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2002, at East Liverpool City Hospital after a six week illness.

The son of the late George Elmer Dunn and Lucy Flint Dunn, he was born on September 7, 1916, and had lived in the East Liverpool area his entire life.

Mr Dunn retired from the former Crucible Steel Mill in Midland, Pa. in 1978 after 25 Years service. He last worked as a forger in the Titaneum Department. He was a Veteran, serving with the U.S. Navy during W.W. II.

He was a member of the Calcutta United Presbyterian Church in Calcutta, the Triangle Seniors, and the Car Barn Heathens. Mr. Dunn was a Life Member of V.F.W. Post 66 in East Liverpool and was a former member and one of the original members of the Calcutta Volunter Fire Department. He had also been a member of the Old Timers Baseball Association.

He was preceeded in death by his first wife, Mary Watters Dunn, in 1988.

Mr Dunn is survived by his wife, Genevieve Hutchison Beck Dunn, whom he married on April 13, 1989. He is also survived by one son, Robert I. Dunn II and his wife, Nancy, of East Liverpool, a Step Daughter, Sherrie L. French and her husband, Donald, of Wellsville, a Brother, George "Gay" Dunn, of Lisbon, and two Granddaughters, Tammie Lynn Dunn of North Canton, Ohio and Linda Ruth Dunn of Westerville, Ohio.

In addition to his parents and first Wife, he was preceeded in death by one brother, William W. Dunn and a sister, Ruth I. Dunn.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes with Rev. Allan Drake of the Church and Rev. Richard Hasley of the Boyce United Methodist Church co-officiating.

Burial will follow in the Calcutta U.P. Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home in Calcutta and visit with the family on Monday, May 13, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
