Robert Eather Ingram, 68, entered into rest on Wednesday January 24, 2001 in a Newport News, VA hospital. He was born in Bucklin, Kansas to the late Leona Jewel Ingram and Arthur E. Ingram. He graduated from Kremmling High School in Kremmling, CO, and was a graduate of Pima Junior College in Tuscon, AZ. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be fondly remembered. He also loved the outdoors, travel, gardening, and golf.
Mr. Ingram retired from the United States Airforce in 1973 as a Senior Master Sergeant with over 21 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War and of the Viet-Nam War. He was a member of the Lions Club of Montezuma, Kansas.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Bernice Moore, Wahneetah Stimpert, and an infant sister.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of Forty Four years, Wanda Lou Ingram; three daughters, Jill Ingram of Phoenix, AZ, Jewel Hoskinson of Bertrand, NE, and Jenny Ingram of Yorktown, VA; as well as four grandchildren, Charity Faye Bailey, Gretchen Lea Bailey, Robert Hoskinson, and Trinity Lozada.
A memorial service will be conducted in Altmeyer Funeral Home Chapel 12893 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, VA 23608, on Saturday February 17. 2001 at 2:00pm. U.S. Airforce honors will be rendered.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
